About The Role
As the Design Engineer, operating within our Global design engineering team, you will be responsible for product design, with a specific focus on the Middle East region. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will support the execution of ambitious growth plans, securing Tate's continued leadership in the industry. Key Responsibilities
Support the global engineering strategy for Tate products that align with the organization's market position and enable tailored design solutions to be developed that meet the specific needs and challenges of cloud-based environments.
Provide engineering and design expertise, as part of the global engineering team, proposing creative solutions, supporting a culture of creativity, innovation and excellence.
Collaborate closely with customers to understand their design requirements, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and work cross functionally with internal teams (i.e. commercial, technical, project management, engineering, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration of designs (from concept to full scale manufacturing).
Support the integration of innovative technologies and sustainable engineering practices into product offerings.
Complete conceptualization and visualization of design projects, in line with Tate's commitment to excellence at each stage of development.
Utilize cutting-edge engineering tools and methodologies to create compelling presentations and prototypes.
Support the development and implementation of standardized engineering practices, ensuring consistency and quality across all regions with all engineering efforts fully aligned with the organization's brand identity and messaging.
Foster collaborative relationships with key customers to co-create design solutions that meet their evolving needs.
Provide regular reports and updates to the Design Lead - Middle East on performance, milestones, and potential risks.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
: Proven experience of no less than 4 years in a design/engineering role, preferably in a regional context within critical environments such as data centre, construction, pharmaceuticals, semiconductor, power generation or oil & gas industry.
Skills
Strong attention to detail and planning skills with a track record of driving design innovation.
Proficiency in design tools and 3D CAD software (Onshape (preferred), SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo).
Experience designing integrated modular or skid systems will be advantageous.
Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) in mind.

Experience developing new products and taking them from concept to prototype to production.
Knowledge of cloud-based environments and their impact on design requirements is preferred.
Excellent proficiency in English (main language of communication with customers & colleagues globally)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
