Role Purpose:
The Design Engineer is responsible of assist Engineering team in creating technical designs, drawings and documents using specialized software.
DUTIES:
1- Development:
-
Variant management - ensure bill of material maintenance along with standard drawings for different product variants.
2- Sales:
-
Complete selection of electrical components for MCC as per given specifications.

Preparing the costing of the electrical equipment and / or panels using the standard prices and items cost obtain from the supplier.

Evaluate costumer technical specifications, SLD and load schedule to determine the design requirements.

Preparing preliminary wiring and panel layout drawings for initial quotation submittal.
3- Operations:
-
Generate all necessary electrical drawings for the fabrication of client switchboards, MCCs, VFDs, soft starter, ATS and PLC panels.

Supervising control panel fabrication and giving technical know-how.

Ensure timely generation of all deliverables, for a product, which include bill of materials, drawings, and technical documentation.

Provide technical support to Production and Supply chain.
4- Learning and Development:
-
Be up to date on the new technologies in Low voltage/medium voltage drive systems.

Create a training plan for self in discussion with the Line Manager.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1- Necessary Knowledge and Experience:
-
A minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in similar role.
-
General electrical engineering with in-depth understanding of electrical drawings, low voltage control systems, pump automation. Testing and commissioning knowledge of VFDs, PLC and soft-starter controllers.
