(DCL) is a premier custom manufacturer of specialty signage, custom interiors, unique lighting solutions, themed environments, tech-integrated installations, and elaborate sculptural elements with offices in Greater Boston, New York, and Orlando.

Currently, we're on the lookout for a highly creative and self-motivated Design Engineer to join our spectacularly talented team, recognized as the best in the world at what they do!

At DCL, we value positive attitudes, quick thinking, and professionalism. This position requires a solutions-oriented engineering approach, where you'll utilize your knowledge to interpret design criteria from architects and design firms to troubleshoot and engineer the client’s vision.

This is not a product design nor graphic design job; your work will result in highly detailed shop drawings that our Fabricators and Installers will depend on.

If the following describes you, we want to hear from you!

• Engineering and Design Expertise: Degree in Industrial Design, Architecture or similar highly preferred. Experience in interpreting and implementing design criteria.
• Technical Proficiency: 4+ years using CAD, preferably AutoCAD, and a strong understanding of materials, technology, and building techniques.
• Professional Experience: 2+ years in signage, exhibit, trade show, millwork, or related fields. Fabrication/building experience also highly preferred.
• Efficiency and Composure: Proven ability to work quickly and calmly under tight deadlines.
• Communication and Creativity: Excellent math, verbal, and written communication skills, coupled with creativity in problem-solving.
• Hand Sketching Skills: Ability to produce quick and effective sketches.
• Sense of Humor and Pride in Work: Maintain a positive attitude and take ownership of your role and responsibilities.
