Design Engineer – Fire Fighting & Protection

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our Firefighting Design Department. This is a key role within our project delivery team, focusing on the design of firefighting system. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and engage with clients, ensuring our design meet high standards for manufacturing, serviceability, and onshore / offshore industry requirements.

Responsibilities

• The Fire Protection Design and Estimation Engineer is responsible for the design of fire protection systems for Oil and Gas projects, ensuring compliance with Local and International codes and standards.
• Develop detailed fire protection system designs, including fire water demand analysis and hydraulic calculations, in accordance with project specifications and industry standards (e.g., NFPA / EI / API).
• Conduct hydraulic calculations and proficiency in design software's (e.g., AutoCAD / Pipenet etc.)
• Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and applicable fire safety regulations and standards.
• Design complete firefighting system with guidance from senior engineers.
• Analyze client specifications and update existing bid-phase designs to meet contract requirements.
• Participate in client meetings and communicate technical design aspects effectively.
• Prepare complete and accurate design documentation using specialized software's like 3D, AUTOCAD, Pipenet software's.
• Adapt design practices to align with Company’s internal standards and procedures.

Requirement

• 5-8 years of experience in Fire protection system design.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE Fire Code & NFPA Standards.
• Experience in designing all firefighting systems.
• Familiarity with client-facing technical communication and design presentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively in a fast-paced environment.
• Well-organized and collaborative team player.
• Preferred Immediate joiners.
