Design Engineer - Generator

Key Responsibilities:

• As an Design Engineer in the Electric Power Solutions (EPD) within REPS, you will serve as,
• An experienced individual contributor on complex projects and assignments for the end-to-end design and development of generator sets,.
• This will involve utilizing Creo Software to prepare generator layout assemblies and designing sub systems like Base frame, Enclosure & Exhaust systems.
• You will also perform Design calculations, detail design, review of drawings and assisting facility on proto builds.
• Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents.
• Completes current work according to assigned priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Aerospace Engineering from accredited Indian or Global Engineering schools
• Overall experience of 5 years in structural design from concept till manufacturing.
• 3+ years of experience working on sheet metal design and handling large assemblies.
• Experience in interpreting weld drawings.
• Experience in handling supplier queries from manufacturing and assembly.
• Good understanding of structural, thermal & Airflow calculations and material selection.
• Experience in routing of hoses and selection of sockets, fuel gauge etc.
• Must have demonstrated excellent analytical skills and have an extensive understanding of complex engineering concepts and applications
• Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas, create/evaluate new processes and perform complex analysis work, identify and solve challenging problems
• Create and deliver technical reports.
• Flexible to travel globally which is of 10% of the work

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Masters or Bachelor degree in an accredited Indian or Global Engineering schools
• Proficiency with generator design & development.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to perform complex assignments
• Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills
