Job Summary

The Interior Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing elegant retail and jewellery store interiors focused on visual merchandising, space optimization, and premium customer experience. The role involves creating detailed design layouts, material selections, BOQ preparation, and coordinating with clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare store layout plans, 2D drawings, and 3D visualizations as per brand guidelines.
• Develop concept designs and mood boards aligned with luxury aesthetics and customer flow.
• Work on fixtures design (showcases, display racks, counters, wall units) suitable for jewellery & retail environment.
• Ensure proper lighting design and materials selection for premium product presentation.
• Coordinate with clients for design approvals and modifications as required.
• Prepare detailed drawings, GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, and material specifications.
• Collaborate with the Projects / Production team for execution feasibility and detailing.
• Conduct site visits to verify measurements, monitor execution quality, and ensure design accuracy.
• Assist in BOQ, costing inputs, and sourcing of material samples (glass, metal, acrylic, laminates, veneers, stones, etc.).
• Ensure the final outcome reflects brand identity, space utilisation, ergonomics, and customer comfort.

Key Skills Required

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp / 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop (or equivalent tools).
• Strong knowledge of retail layouts, jewellery displays, and store circulation flow.
• Understanding of lighting, color combinations, finishes & premium materials.
• Creativity with practical execution knowledge.
• Good communication and client interaction skills.
• Ability to work with production/ factory teams for detailing & fabrication drawings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Degree in Interior Design / Architecture.
• 2–6 years of experience in Retail / Jewellery store interiors (preferred).
• Experience in working drawings, site execution coordination, and production detailing.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to travel for site visits as required.
• Understanding of luxury retail experience design is an added advantage.
• Time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
