Design Engineer – Outfitting (Electrical)

As a Design Engineer, you will be working in close coordination with the design team and client. Your role and responsibilities will be:

• Should be able to do electrical load analysis, single line diagrams, material take-off list, short circuit calculations etc.
• Preparation of electrical design drawings following Class Rules and regulations.
• Producing electrical production and installation drawings like cables and cable tray routing etc.
• Inspection on board vessel or assemblies for preparation, verification or improvement.
• Identification of changes in client provided drawings and documents, preparation mark-ups for technical queries and variation orders, as and when required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Section Head /TL/ Manager.
• Willing to re-locate on client site either domestic or International on short notice.
• Any other associated task or responsibilities assigned from time to time by the organization.

Job Requirements:

• You are a graduate in electrical or equivalent with minimum relevant industry work experience of up to 2 years.
• You have working experience in 3D ship design software like Aveva Marine, Cadmatic and Ship Constructor,etc.
• Prior experience in the marine electrical design field is preferred
• You have technical knowledge of electrical installation, control and communication equipment
• You have good communication skills and enjoy helping customers.
• You have minute attention to detail and seek perfection in your work.
• You will be willing to continue to develop your technical knowledge and skills.
• You are ready to serve minimum service commitment of 2 years in our company.
