Design & Estimation Engineer

Job Purpose

To manage LV switchgear projects from tender stage through estimation, design andensuring technical compliance, cost control, and timely delivery in line with project and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Estimation & Tendering

• Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates (materials, labour, T&C, overhead etc.)
• Obtain budgetary pricing from suppliers and internal database
• Identify and define risks, assumptions, and exclusions
• Support commercial team during negotiations and clarifications
• Prepare the project budgetary cost upon award

2. Design & Technical

• Prepare SLDs, GA drawings, and wiring diagrams
• Perform required technical calculations (busbar sizing, heat dissipation, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with IEC, utility (DEWA), and project specifications
• Prepare accurate BOMs aligned with estimation
• Manage drawing submissions and obtain consultant/client approvals
• Control and document all design revisions and changes
• Provide technical support to production and QA/QC
• Support FAT and client inspections

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Diploma/degree in Electrical engineering
• 3-4 years’ experience in LV switchgear (Design + Estimation)
• Joining time – Immediate.
• Who are serving notice period or in Visit visa

Pay: From AED4,000.00 per month
