About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager – Architecture to lead the design and coordination of high-profile commercial and institutional projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong architectural background and proven experience managing the design of schools, mosques, government buildings, office developments, and mixed-use projects from concept through construction.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, client management, and technical coordination skills who can deliver innovative, practical, and compliant design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architectural design activities from concept design to construction documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including Structural, MEP, Interior Design, Landscape, and Specialist Consultants.
• Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, local authority requirements, and project standards.
• Manage design schedules, deliverables, and project milestones.
• Lead client presentations, workshops, and design review meetings.
• Drive value engineering initiatives and cost-effective design solutions.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs during construction.
• Mentor and manage architects, BIM specialists, and design consultants.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts and technical challenges.

RequirementsQualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (Master's Degree is an advantage).
• Professional Architectural Registration is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of architectural design experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a Design Manager or Senior Architectural Leadership role.
• Strong experience delivering:
• Schools and Educational Facilities
• Mosques and Religious Buildings
• Government and Public Sector Projects
• Commercial Buildings
• Mixed-Use Developments
• Community and Civic Facilities
• UAE or GCC project experience is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in:
• Revit
• AutoCAD
• BIM Coordination
• SketchUp
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of UAE building regulations and authority approval processes.
• Excellent design coordination and project management skills.
