Design Manager for Logistical Property

Key Responsibilities

• Create and lead design concepts and strategies for industrial and logistics facilities.

• Support the Building Acquisition and Development teams with technical input, feasibility studies, and test fits options.

• Provide multiple highly detailed design options for feasibility analysis and project evaluation.

• Prepare technical specifications and ensure designs meet project quality, performance, and operational needs.

• Be aware of and manage project cost implications in design decisions.

• Help form the general design and construction program in collaboration with project teams.

• Ensure compliance with local building codes and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Establish and manage user requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

• Carry out design reviews at key project stages to ensure quality, functionality, and cost efficiency.

• Manage design consultants and coordinate with authorities to secure timely approvals.

• Oversee design for acquisitions, refurbishments, and tenant fit-outs, including technical due diligence.

• Support procurement with design briefs, scopes of work, and technical evaluations.

• Provide regular design progress reports to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture (preferred) or Civil/Structural Engineering.

• Project management / sustainability certifications (preferred)

• Architecture consultant office experience strongly preferred.

• Minimum 10 years’ design and management experience with at least 3 full-cycle industrial/logistics projects delivered.

• Strong technical, conceptual design, planning, coordination, and project management skills.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite; Rhino/Grasshopper is an advantage.

• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
