  • Translate the Chief Designer’s and Art Director’s vision into structured design directions for the team.

  • Oversee the development of all creative outputs, ensuring design intent is consistently delivered across presentations, drawings, and material selections.

  • Conduct design review sessions and provide guidance to maintain the aesthetic and conceptual integrity of the work.

  • Allocate design tasks and set priorities for Senior Designers, Junior Designers, Visual Designers, and Technical Designers.

  • Ensure that all design deliverables meet quality standards and are completed within defined deadlines.

  • Mentor and support team members, encouraging skill development and collaborative work practices.

  • Coordinate with HR or relevant management on performance evaluations and team capacity planning.

  • Oversee the full design process from concept development to final documentation.

  • Review and approve schematic design packages before submission to technical development.

  • Ensure FF&E selections, material specifications, and finish palettes align with project requirements and Kyme design standards.

  • Work closely with Procurement to ensure availability, feasibility, and quality of selected materials and furnishings.

  • Participate in and, when required, lead client meetings to present design direction and progress.

  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure alignment between design development, timeline, and project scope.

  • Prepare clear and concise design reports and progress updates for internal leadership.

  • Conduct periodic site visits to confirm that design intentions are accurately executed on site.

  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and site teams to resolve design-related challenges.

  • Ensure all necessary clarifications, shop drawing reviews, and specification confirmations are provided in a timely manner.




Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field; Master’s preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in interior design or architecture, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.

  • Proficient in relevant design and visualization tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, etc.)

  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
