Job Description:

Design Manager Roads

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Manager Roads to join our team! In this role you will get to develop and supervises the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to the team.

• Ensure the design aligns with client requirements, and is in compliance with current UAE legislation, industry standards and specifications where appropriate.

• Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to manage the design and its approval, across the project stakeholders

• Manage the day-to-day roads design monitoring activities and actively participate in the construction team design requirement meetings

• Ensure that all roads design related project KPIs, targets, directions and instructions are communicated to all relevant project stakeholders in a clear and timely manner

• Performing feasibility studies, detailed design and proposals for evaluation.

• Reviewing temporary road designs, traffic management plans, signages

• Managing the consultants and contractors from design related elements.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• A Bachelors Degree in Civil or Transport Engineering /Planning discipline from a recognized university.

• Design of infrastructure projects within a Consulting environment in Abu Dhabi.

• Minimum of 12 years overall experience.

• In detail understanding of road and highway design principles, as well as local regulations related to road and highway design in Abu Dhabi.

• Excellent report writing and communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to attend in-person interviews in Abu Dhabi.
  

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Expert level in Autocad, Autoturn, Civil 3D and other design related software.

• Experience in coordination with ADM, ITC
