The Creative Audio Organization is a centralized team that touches nearly every Meta product. With over 60 audio experts, we work across a wide-range of software and hardware, including phone, glasses, VR headsets and a mix of AR/MR experiences.Creative Audio is seeking a Design Program Manager to join our Wearables department. You will play a critical role in driving the success of audio and haptic UX by providing operational leadership, strategic guidance, and hands-on support to our sound & product designers. Partnering with the Wearables Manager, you will be responsible for seamless collaboration, effective communication, and efficient project execution across multiple lead stakeholders.
- Lead audio design operations that directly contribute to the execution of a team's product roadmap

Make design work happen with speed and quality by seeking clarity on goals and priorities

Develop design program or operational product strategy under your own initiative

scopes and prioritizes resources/workload appropriately while identifying gaps and creating solutions/program plans

Identify and deliver work in highly complex areas that have many dependencies, working with cross-functional stakeholders to get buy-in and feedback at the appropriate design stages

Navigate complex product and design organization

understand interconnectedness of problems, features or products within larger systems

Build scalable operational support frameworks for sound designers, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management

Maintain and improve effective communication channels to keep stakeholders informed of project progress, issues, and changes

Drive cross-functional teams, including product design, engineering, and product management, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes

Develop workback schedules, sprint and resource plans to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous learning within Creative Audio

Support hardware and software design prototyping efforts and testing

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and quality

10+ years of experience in design program management or a related UX Ops field
-
Specific experience supporting audio, haptics, or voice design teams
-
Proven track record of successfully managing complex design programs and projects
-
Experience handling complexity and navigating ambiguity with teams on large scale 0 to 1 projects

Experience leading feature launches

Solid understanding of design principles, human-centered design methodologies, and design thinking

Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions

Demonstrated experience problem-solving and utilizing analytical skills, with experience thinking critically and creatively

Experience with design tools and software, such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc

Experience managing vendors and contractors

Experience developing for Wearables devices

Familiarity with AI design tools and industry

Experience with UX Product Design, especially as it relates to audio UX

Experience working alongside audio tools and software, such as Pro Tools, Nuendo, Logic, etc

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and design sprints

Experience launching voice-first interaction features

Understanding of DSP, audio synthesis, and digital audio concepts and formats

Certification in design program management or a related field (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master)
