Design Technology Intern

Job Description:

We are looking for a full time, Design Technology Intern to start with us this summer. This position should be someone who is a graduating senior or 1-2 years of experience with design technology tools. $20-25/ hour depending on experience and 30-40 hours per week. Candidates local to Chicago or Washington, DC preferred.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical assistance to OTJ team members with design technology issues
Troubleshoot software issues related to Revit, ACC, Enscape, Bluebeam, etc.
Develop training materials and resources for rendering workflows and collaboration tools
Follow established procedures and processes for tools including Revit
Provide training and support to team members on the use of BIM tools
Research and recommend solutions for rendering platforms

Qualifications:

Pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Design
Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts
Familiarity with design technology tools and processes
Strong knowledge of Revit
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong willingness to learn new technology
Candidates with experience using 3D printing, CNC machines, aerial photography/drones, and point cloud/laser scanning preferred
