NYC BASED LUXURY BRIDAL & BESPOKE DESIGNER
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
Seeking a personable and inclusive team player who is highly organized, proactive, responsible, self-motivated, energetic, with great attention to detail and excellent in communication to join the Design team. Candidate should have at least 5-6 years of related working experience and extensive print and embellishment design experience.
Must have strong start-to-finish garment construction knowledge and strong color sense. Made in NYC and atelier experience is preferred.

This is a full-time opportunity, working on-site from our design studio & atelier in SOHO, NYC.

Hours of Operation: M-F 10 AM - 6 PM, though full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business. Additional hours and weekends may be required in the lead up to seasonal collection presentations, photo shoots and markets
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working with a small team to develop seasonal collections and special projects from start to finish, reporting to the Design Director.

Contribute to inspirations, surface treatments, research and sketching.

Contribute to print and embroidery development, participate in all development fittings.

Contribute to hands on work during sample making when needed.

Communicate with vendors and factories whenever necessary.

Conduct local sourcing when needed.

Work closely with in-house Atelier and Development Team to ensure each new collection is executed to the brands standards.

Contribute to design revisions needed for production.

Follow design & studio protocols to help maintain a safe and organized working environment (physically & digitally
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

BFA or AAS degree in Fashion Design.

5-6 years minimum of relatable working experience.

Experience working for a luxury brand in a small and fast-paced environment.

Understanding of the brands aesthetic and passionate about maintaining the brands design DNA throughout all aspects of the brand.

High design acumen, with a superior eye for colors, textiles, proportions and details.

In-depth knowledge of high-end garment construction.

Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator on MAC. InDesign is a plus.

Proficient in Adobe Fresco on iPad. (Can be learned on the job).
