Job Description: Designer cum Salesman (Landscape & Irrigation Trading)Position Summary:

The Designer cum Salesman will be responsible for preparing landscape and irrigation design proposals, meeting clients, and converting inquiries into confirmed sales. The role requires strong technical knowledge in landscaping materials, plants, irrigation products, and design principles, combined with excellent communication and sales skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesLandscape & Irrigation Design

• Meet clients to understand requirements for landscaping, softscape, hardscape, and irrigation systems.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed landscape designs, including site layouts, planting plans, and irrigation line drawings.
• Develop irrigation BOQs, pipe layouts, and material specifications.
• Provide appropriate plant selections based on site conditions and client preferences.
• Prepare 2D/3D visual designs, sketches, and presentations.
• Coordinate with production, site engineers, and supervisors to ensure proper execution of approved designs.

Sales & Client Handling

• Attend walk-in clients, site visits, and online inquiries.
• Explain landscaping solutions, materials, irrigation products, and their advantages.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and material lists for landscape and irrigation work.
• Follow up with clients for approvals, revisions, and closing of sales.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure repeat business.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by the company.

Product & Market Knowledge

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of landscaping materials (plants, soil, mulch, pavers, stones, lighting, etc.).
• Strong understanding of irrigation products (pipes, fittings, valves, pumps, sprinklers, drippers, controllers).
• Keep track of market competitors and pricing trends.

Coordination & Support

• Work closely with procurement for materials and product availability.
• Coordinate with installation teams for proper site execution.
• Ensure accurate measurement of site areas for quotation and design.
• Assist in updating showroom displays and catalogs.

Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Landscape Design, Horticulture, Agriculture, or Engineering (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in landscape design, irrigation design, or similar role.
• Good knowledge of plants, landscaping materials, and irrigation systems.
• Proficiency in design tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop or similar).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Valid UAE driving license (advantage).

Working Conditions

• Full-time role based in showroom/office with regular site visits.
• Flexible working hours when required by project needs.
