Designer II / Job Captain

About the Role
AlphaHire is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Designer II / Job Captain to join a dynamic and design-forward interior architecture studio based in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a creative professional with a strong technical background, a passion for high-end residential and hospitality interiors, and the ability to translate design concepts into buildable, code-compliant documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the production and coordination of drawing sets from concept through construction administration.
• Collaborate with designers, consultants, and fabricators to ensure the design intent is carried through to completion.
• Produce detailed interior architectural plans, elevations, sections, and custom millwork drawings.
• Review and incorporate building codes, ADA standards, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve design and technical issues.
• Participate in site visits, field verifications, and construction observations.
• Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in interior architecture, with a focus on high-end residential or boutique commercial/hospitality projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Revit (preferred).
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and detailing.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, and custom fabrication.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Architecture or related field.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment.
