Overview:
Reporting to the Visual Art Director, the Designer, Kids is an industry leading creative responsible for developing compelling, spiritually engaging, and culturally relevant visual content that supports campaigns and branded content across physical and digital platforms. This role contributes to our core excellence by creating graphics and mixed media designs that inspire hope and reflect God’s Word and promises. The Designer collaborates on brand aesthetics, leads creative planning and brainstorming, This position partners with the web content team on assets for web, mobile apps, and email, and provides branding direction to the UI/UX designer to ensure visual continuity across digital experiences.

Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…

Lead the creative execution of assigned campaigns and brand initiatives, proactively managing project timelines, deliverables, and team milestones in alignment with direction from the Visual Art Director.

Understand design for children’s materials in digital, YouTube, App, Merch, Books, and other media formats – bringing ideas to life with both product and marketing teams.

Drive the development of compelling key art and content with a “Kid First” mindset, incorporating produced photography, video, and basic motion into static and digital formats.

Ensure visual consistency by adhering to established design and brand guidelines for K-LOVE, Air 1, and other Ministry brands, translating them across a variety of platforms and marketing materials.

Conceptualize and deliver original creative solutions for marketing collateral including websites, social media, ad banners, email campaigns, and both internal and external communications.

Develop graphic sketches, design compositions, and copy layouts that follow layout principles and aesthetic design standards, with particular focus on print production needs.

Collaborate with the Visual Art Director to provide creative input and contribute to the ideation and execution of marketing initiatives.

Apply deep understanding of audience segmentation and brand culture to generate designs that are fresh, relevant, and aligned with strategic messaging.

Create and refresh visual content for websites, mobile apps, social media, and video projects, ensuring accuracy and brand continuity.

Participate in photo and video shoots, providing creative direction or support to ensure high-quality assets are captured for future use.

Maintain and organize creative assets using digital platforms such as WIDEN (Digital Asset Management system) and BOX (team file server).

Actively partner with members of the Digital Media and Marketing Teams, contributing to brainstorming sessions and cross-functional collaboration efforts.

While the role primarily will serve our endeavors for Kids, the Designer must be able to serve all demographics and brands for projects as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts or equivalent experience.

A minimum of 3+ years in-house or ad agency experience.

Ability to deliver inspired concepts under the guidance of the Visual Art Director, quickly and intuitively, thriving under pressure and tight deadlines.

Ability to apply feedback and direction from the Visual Art Director to produce the strongest possible output and grow design capabilities.

Strong understanding of fundamental design principles for web and print that affect typography, composition, color, use of space and hierarchy of information.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), Keynote, PowerPoints and familiarity with digital asset management systems and web design best practices.

Experience using Canva and Capcut a plus.

Experience with photography a plus.
