Job Summary
This is a contractor role (1099 tax designation). This position will provide an invoice weekly to the FullSpeed Automotive Finance team and is expected to handle all taxes once payment is provided through the Accountable Payable team.
The Senior Designer brings creative vision to life through concepting, design, and execution across marketing campaigns and channels. Working from established creative direction, this role translates strategy into compelling visual storytelling — producing on-brand, high-impact assets across video, digital, and print.
This designer combines a strong sense of craft, storytelling, and brand understanding with hands-on skills in design and video editing to deliver cohesive, engaging content. They leverage AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency and creative output, repurpose assets to maximize value, and collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, brand, and digital teams to ensure consistent, timely, and high-quality execution. Staying ahead of trends in design, video, and AI technology keeps their work fresh, relevant, and effective.
Essential Duties
Lead creative concepting and art direction for campaigns from initial ideation through final production, ensuring alignment with brand and marketing strategy.
Edit and produce high-quality video content for marketing initiatives, social media, and paid media—crafting compelling visual stories through expert pacing, sound, and storytelling.
Design campaign assets including layouts, motion graphics, and digital visuals, maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints.
Leverage AI-powered creative tools (e.g., Runway, Pika, Midjourney, ChatGPT) to enhance efficiency and innovation across concepting, design, and post-production.
Repurpose and optimize existing creative assets—photo, video, and design libraries—to develop fresh narratives and extend campaign impact.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, brand, and digital teams to translate strategy and insights into visually powerful communication.
Manage multiple creative projects while simultaneously organizing files, maintaining timelines, and ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards.
Stay informed on design, video, digital, and AI trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive creative edge.
Provide clear creative direction and feedback to internal teams and external partners, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Apply performance insights and campaign data to refine creative approaches and maximize impact.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in art direction, video production, or multimedia design.
Strong proficiency in Figma, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Demonstrated experience in video storytelling, editing, and design for marketing or brand campaigns.
Proven experience using AI creative tools to enhance workflow and creative exploration.
Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in design, Film, Communications, or related field preferred.
Experience with Creatopy/The Brief and Monday.com a plus

Step 2 – Initial Screening

Selected candidates will be invited to the next stage.
Step 3 – Interview: Creative, Fit & Strategy
You’ll be invited to a virtual interview to discuss your creative process and professional approach.
You’ll also be asked about real examples of how AI has enhanced your creative workflow.
Step 4 – Paid Design Exercise
Candidates who advance will complete a paid creative assignment to demonstrate their design skills and creative process in action.
Here’s what to expect:
You’ll receive a project brief at 8:00 AM on a day of your choosing.
You’ll deliver your final concepts by end of day, the same day.
The expectation is one suite of deliverables, including static, gif & video assets.
The goal will be to see how you interpret the brief, maintain brand alignment, and creatively use AI tools (when applicable).
Step 5 – Final Interview & Discussion
Following the design exercise, finalists will be invited to a short follow-up interview.
Step 6 – Offer & Onboarding
Successful candidates will receive a formal contract offer.
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and expertise in both video design and AI innovation.
Estimated Range:
Hourly: $38 – $43/hour
Equivalent Annualized (for comparison): $79,000 - $89,500
Qualifications
