Designer/Draftsperson

<Job Summary>
SaniSafe Products is seeking a Designer/Draftsperson with technical abilities and industry experience to work closely with the company’s Principal Designer. This role is ideal for someone who has already developed competency in SolidWorks, Drafting Standards, and Value Engineering and is ready to contribute meaningfully within a collaborative design environment.

<Qualifications and Skills>

· Minimum of an Associates Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Design, Drafting or a related discipline.

· 1-3 years of professional work experience in design, drafting, or product development.

· Working proficiency with SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, assemblies, configurations and detailed manufactured drawings.

· AutoCad Drafting Skills, including updating, modifying and creating precise technical drawings.

· Working Knowledge of Value Engineering. Must be familiar with the concept and how design integrates Value Engineering into the manufacturing process.

· Familiarity with CNC Machinery and CNC Software, with an understanding of machining processes, toolpaths, tolerances, and production workflows. (Preferred)

· Effective Communication Skills, including the ability to take direction from the Principal Designer. This position will proactively interact with the Sales and Marketing Team along with the Production team.

· Strong Teamwork Capability, with a reliable, collaborative and proactive work ethic.

<Role Responsibilities>

· Develop and refine SolidWorks models, assemblies, and drawings in coordination with the Principal Designer.

· Prepare accurate drafting documentation, including dimenshioned drawings, exploded views, and production files.

· Assist in preparing CNC ready files.

· Maintain drawing standards, revision control, and organized project documentati

· Develop product prototypes including hands on integration with manufacturing personnel.

· Participate in continuous improvement of production processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
