Job Summary:
Nicholas O'Dwyer is seeking a number of Design/Process Engineers to play a pivotal role in delivering wastewater infrastructure projects in Mersin, Türkiye. This role will support the technical assurance and delivery of the treatment process components of wastewater treatment plants and marine outfalls in multiple locations within the municipality of Mersin.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Design/Process Engineer, working in collaboration as part of a larger team is essential for this role.

Take ownership and lead on all technical matters associated with the treatment process during the design review, construction supervision and defects notification period phases.

Responsible for assessing the adequacy of the basic environmental data and basis of design used for the design;
-
Check adequacy of the Contractors’ preliminary design based upon own calculations and evaluations;
-
Advise the project Senior Management team of any issues identified during the different phases of the project.

Support with the preparation of progress reports and other deliverables, as required.

Attend progress and site meetings as required.

Responsibility to maintain regular updates and communicate on project progress, both internally and externally with the client.

Maintaining a culture of continuous improvements across all aspects of the working environment and projects.

Training will be provided to fulfil the requirements of your role, your participation to all essential training will be required.

To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, additional tasks and responsibilities will form part of this role as it evolves
Key Requirements:
-
BSc in Environmental Engineering as a minimum.
-
Proven technical competence in design or design review, and construction supervision, as Design/Process Engineer in the delivery of Wastewater Treatment Plants, including deep sea discharges/marine outfalls.

Minimum of 10 years professional experience.
-
Minimum 5 years of specific design experience:
-
design or design review in wastewater treatment projects as design/process engineer (Minimum 3No. Projects), and
-
design or design review of deep sea discharges/marine outfalls (Minimum 1No. Project).

Minimum 5 years of specific supervision services:
-
construction or construction supervision services of wastewater treatment plant construction projects (Minimum 2No. large scale Projects),
-
construction or construction supervision of deep-sea discharges/marine outfalls (Minimum 1No. Project), and
-
wastewater treatment plant operations or supervision of comparable nature, scale and complexity as a process engineer or equivalent position.

Fluency in written and spoken English is required, whereas knowledge of Turkish is desirable.

Experience in the region is desirable.

Experience in the delivery of projects financed by International Financial Institutions (such as EBRD, IFC, AFD, WB, ADB, AfDB) and under FIDIC Conditions of Contract will be an advantage.

Competent in office packages, Microsoft, excel PowerPoint etc.

Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage many tasks concurrently.

Excellent clear and concise communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
