WHY THIS ROLE
This is not a typical deskside support role. You will be embedded within a major automotive manufacturing facility, directly supporting the systems and users that keep production running.
In this fast-paced, high-impact environment, system uptime is critical. When production-floor technology fails, you are the hands-on expert responsible for restoring operations quickly and efficiently.
This role offers the opportunity to work with both enterprise IT systems and industrial technologies while gaining experience in a mission-critical manufacturing environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will provide hands-on deskside and plant-floor IT support across office and manufacturing environments, including:
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, rugged devices, and peripherals
- Support production-critical systems including shop-floor terminals, barcode/label printers, and RF scanners
- Deploy, image, and migrate Windows 10/11 devices using tools like SCCM, MDT, or Autopilot
- Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), and Group Policy
- Configure and maintain network printers and scanners (TCP/IP, IP addressing)
- Provide VIP/executive support including AV and video conferencing systems
- Respond to high-priority production incidents with urgency
- Collaborate with OT, networking, and manufacturing teams for escalations and root-cause analysis
- Manage IT asset lifecycle (procurement, provisioning, redeployment, decommissioning)
- Document incidents and service requests in tools like ServiceNow or Remedy
- Ensure SLA compliance and clear communication with stakeholders
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role operates within a live manufacturing facility. Candidates should be comfortable with:
- Working across office spaces and production floors
- Exposure to industrial noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
- Wearing PPE (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, hearing protection)
- Walking/standing for extended periods across a large facility
- Responding quickly to production-critical incidents
- Following strict safety protocols (lockout/tagout awareness, restricted areas)
WHAT YOU BRINGRequired:
- 3+ years of deskside/desktop support in enterprise environments (500+ users)
- Strong experience with Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and deployment
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory (user management, GPOs)
- Familiarity with imaging tools (SCCM, MDT, Intune, or similar)
- Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- Ability to work in industrial environments with PPE requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move across large facilities
Preferred:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (MD-100, MD-101, MS-900)
- ITIL Foundation certification or ITIL framework knowledge
- Experience with Intune/Endpoint Manager and Autopilot
- Background in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial IT environments
- Experience with rugged devices, barcode printers, RF scanners
- Exposure to OT/IT environments or industrial network segmentation
- Experience in MSP or multi-client support environments
