We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician I who enjoys solving problems, helping others, and delivering reliable, high-quality technical support in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do
Provide Frontline Technical Support
  • Deliver Tier 1 support via in-person, phone, and ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT team members
Support Devices & Systems
  • Set up, configure, and deploy PCs, Macs, and mobile devices
  • Install software, updates, and system images
  • Assist with new user setup, including accounts and systems access
Maintain Systems & Documentation
  • Track and update tickets, assets, and inventory
  • Follow standard operating procedures and documentation
  • Maintain accurate records across systems and tools
Support Events & On-Site Technology
  • Assist with event technology setup and teardown
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting support during events
  • Ensure equipment is functional and ready for use
Deliver strong Customer Service
  • Provide clear, professional communication to users
  • Support staff, volunteers, and guests with patience and clarity
  • Maintain a helpful, service-oriented approach in all interactions

What You Bring
  • 0-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or related role
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: Experience with ticketing systems or IT service tools. Familiarity with Windows Server, Hyper-V, or similar systems. CompTIA A+ certification (or willingness to obtain)

Working Conditions: Basic mobility is expected in offices, grounds, and exhibition areas. Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information accurately with others. Engage in occasional object manipulation with or without assistance and efficiently navigate the workspace to access essential resources. Manage occasional lifting tasks, and ability to handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds with ease and regularity and 25 pounds occasionally. Occasionally, it may be required to work outdoors under inclement weather conditions. Office environment requires ability to operate computer and other office and audiovisual equipment, plus mobility in office, grounds and exhibition areas. Ability to multitask and work well under pressure. Regular interaction with guests. Perform the setup and tear down of equipment. Flexible work schedule including days, evenings, holidays and weekends.
