Job Title: Detailer Draftsman – Architectural

Job Description:

We are a Dubai-based design and build company seeking an experienced Detailer Draftsman – Architectural. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years’ experience working in a design consultancy firm within the UAE or GCC.

In this role, the Detailer Draftsman will be responsible for converting conceptual designs into precise and comprehensive 2D technical drawings. This includes ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with design specifications and local regulations. The position demands a solid understanding of architectural principles, outstanding detailing skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

· · Transform concept design 3D models into detailed and accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings for architectural projects.

· Prepare comprehensive architectural drawings based on approved 3D presentations and design intent.

· Develop and maintain a thorough drawings register/list of drawings, including a design timeline schedule, to ensure efficient project tracking.

· Generate detailed construction blow-up details for complex architectural elements.

· Prepare coordinated Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCPs) by integrating and coordinating with MEP drawings.

· Produce composite drawings showcasing all design packages (architectural, structural, MEP) in both elevation and plan views.

· Create comprehensive door schedules, hardware schedules, and window schedules.

· Prepare intricate detailed drawings for staircases.

· Generate detailed drawings for toilets, washrooms, kitchens, pantries, and other relevant spaces.

· Proactively coordinate and meticulously review structural and MEP drawings to ensure design integration and clash detection.

· Verify site survey data thoroughly before commencing design drawing preparation to ensure accuracy and feasibility.

· Review and provide feedback on shop drawings submitted by subcontractors, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

· Prepare and compile comprehensive submission packages for clients, specialists, and authorities for necessary approvals and permits.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience as a Draftsman or similar role within an architectural firm, with a minimum of seven years of experience in the GCC region.

· Exceptional proficiency in AutoCAD (2D is essential; knowledge of 3D software like 3D Max, SketchUp, Revit, or Rhino is a plus).

· Strong understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods, and building materials.

· Ability to read, interpret, and prepare complex architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

· Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all drafting work.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with internal teams, clients, and external consultants.

· A relevant diploma or degree in Architecture or a related field is preferred.
