FITOUT CARPETRY DRAFTMAN

Required Fitout Carpentry CAD Draftsman Urgently who can create detailed technical drawings for interior fit-out and joinery projects, transforming architectural concepts into precise, manufacturable plans using CAD software.

Responsibilities include collaborating with design and project teams, developing shop drawings, specifying materials, producing cut lists, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting site installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Drawing Production: Develop 2D/3D CAD drawings for joinery, furniture, partitions, ceilings, and other interior elements.
• Collaboration: Work with architects, interior designers, project managers, and engineers to translate design briefs into technical drawings.
• Technical Detailing: Prepare detailed shop drawings, construction build-ups, and installation guides.
• Material Specification: Assist in selecting and specifying appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for joinery.
• Production Support: Create accurate material cutting lists and provide technical instructions for the fabrication team.
• Coordination: Liaise with various trades (mechanical, electrical, HVAC) to ensure design feasibility and integration.
• Revisions & Compliance: Manage drawing revisions based on feedback, and ensure all designs comply with industry standards and local regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain organized databases of design documents and prepare as-built drawings.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in CAD software with atleast 2-3 years experience in UAE Preferable Dubai (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of fitout and joinery construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for precision in drawings and specifications.
• Communication: Ability to communicate technical information clearly to design, production, and site teams.
• Problem-Solving: Aptitude for reviewing feasibility and resolving technical issues.
• Education: Diploma in Architecture or Engineering is often preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience in interior fit-out and joinery drafting, often with knowledge of high-end projects.

Typical Workflow

• Interpretation: Review architectural drawings, sketches, and design briefs.
• Drafting: Create detailed 2D and 3D shop drawings using CAD software.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with the project team to refine designs and ensure feasibility.
• Production Data: Generate cut lists and production drawings for the workshop.
• Site Support: Provide technical clarifications and resolve site-related issues.
• Finalization: Produce as-built drawings after project completion.
