We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Development and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead our fundraising efforts, enhance our outreach initiatives, and strengthen relationships with supporters. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal welfare, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a dynamic nonprofit environment.

<Duties>

• Develop and implement strategic fundraising campaigns utilizing digital marketing tools such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and WordPress to maximize outreach and donor engagement.
• Manage relationships with donors, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders through effective relationship management and public relations strategies.
• Coordinate and oversee fundraising events from planning to execution, ensuring smooth operations and impactful results.
• Write compelling grant proposals and donor correspondence to secure funding for programs like spay/neuter clinics, community education, and shelter operations.
• Collect data on fundraising activities, donor engagement, and campaign effectiveness using CRM software like Salesforce and Raiser's Edge; analyze trends to inform future strategies.
• Manage social media platforms to promote events, share success stories, and increase public awareness of our mission.
• Support volunteer management efforts by coordinating volunteer activities related to events and outreach initiatives.

<Qualifications>

• Proven experience in event planning, digital marketing, or nonprofit development roles with a focus on fundraising or communications.
• Strong skills in proposal writing, grant applications, and email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
• Familiarity with CRM systems including Salesforce or Raiser's Edge; experience with databases like Wills, Trusts & Estate Law is a plus.
• Excellent relationship management abilities combined with negotiation skills to foster partnerships and secure resources.
• Knowledge of social media management tools such as WordPress or other content management systems; experience with digital marketing strategies is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $49,850.39 - $60,034.88 per year
