Job Purpose
The Development Engineer supports the planning and execution of real estate development projects, ensuring alignment across design stages, feasibility requirements, and regulatory standards. The role plays a key part in coordinating between design disciplines, reviewing technical outputs, and supporting development decisions through data analysis and project insights.
Key Responsibilities

Support development activities across all project stages (Concept, Schematic, DD, IFC)

Review architectural drawings and coordinate with structural and MEP teams

Assist in feasibility studies, unit mix analysis, and development KPIs (BUA, FAR, efficiency)

Perform area calculations and ensure compliance with zoning and development regulations

Coordinate with consultants to ensure alignment with project requirements

Support permit processes and liaise with relevant authorities when required

Prepare reports, presentations, and development analysis using Excel and PowerPoint

Identify design or planning issues and support in proposing solutions
-
Ensure all deliverables are aligned with project timelines and business objectives
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture

2–5 years of experience in real estate development

Strong understanding of all design stages (Concept, Schematic, DD, IFC)

Ability to read and review architectural drawings with basic knowledge of MEP and structural systems

Experience in area calculations, zoning, and development regulations

Familiarity with feasibility studies, unit mix, and development KPIs (BUA, FAR, efficiency)

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Strong Excel skills (data analysis, calculations, reporting) –
mandatory

Good presentation skills using PowerPoint

Knowledge of Autodesk Forma, Revit, or GIS is a plus

Strong coordination and communication skills

Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail

Experience dealing with authorities and permits is a plus
