Job Summary

The part time Development & Fundraising Assistant is a vital member of Forestdale’s Development & Community Engagement team. This role supports the department’s fundraising, sponsorship, and communications initiatives, with a focus on corporate sponsorship research, sponsor engagement, and digital outreach. The Assistant will work closely with the Director of Development and other team members to help secure corporate partners for the annual gala, maintain sponsor relations, and support online communications, including social media and website updates.


Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Research and identify potential corporate sponsors, honorees, and partners for Forestdale’s annual gala and fundraising initiatives.
  • Engage with potential sponsors through email and phone outreach; assist in preparing sponsorship materials, proposals, and follow-up communications.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of sponsors, donors, and outreach activities within the donor database.
  • Support the development team in planning and executing the annual gala and other fundraising events, including coordinating logistics, managing materials, and assisting on-site.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to develop and post engaging content for social media platforms to highlight events, sponsors, and organizational milestones.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating Forestdale’s website with current event information, sponsorship recognition, and other relevant content.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations as requested by the Director of Development.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth departmental operations, including scheduling, meeting preparation, and recordkeeping.
  • Other duties as required by the supervisor or needs of the program/agency


Minimum Requirements

  • College degree (B.A.) preferred, or equivalent experience in fundraising, marketing, or communications.
  • One to two years of relevant experience in development, fundraising, or communications preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with donor databases, Canva, and social media platforms preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Salary Range:

$20-22 per hour

Several factors may be considered applicable when determining a team member's base salary and/or rate (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity).
