Development Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead and mentor a high-performing team of developers in building scalable, secure, and robust applications, primarily in the fintech or banking domain. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Java (Spring Boot), proven leadership skills, and hands-on experience with modern architectures and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development of critical application components, ensuring adherence to best coding and architectural practices.
• Establish and enforce coding standards across all development teams
• Optimize system performance, including memory usage, garbage collection tuning, and resource allocation.
• Champion secure coding prac ces, working closely with DevOps to maintain robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Design applications for containerized environments (Docker) and orchestrated deployments (Kubernetes).
• Oversee code merging, code reviews, and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Provide technical mentorship and career development support for team members.
• Translate business requirements into technical solu ons through effec ve requirement engineering.
• Drive Agile and Scrum prac ces, ensuring mely delivery of features and improvements.

Skill & Experienced Required:

• 10+ years of hands-on development experience, primarily in Java, Spring Boot
• At least 5+ years of experience in leading and managing development teams
• Strong experience with financial or fintech applications is highly preferred
• Expertise in messaging queues (Ka a, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architectures.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and source control tools (Git, Bitbucket).
• Deep understanding of JVM internals, performance tuning, and garbage collection.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching solutions (e.g., Redis), and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience in se ng up CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern deployment strategies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on mentorship and team growth.
