Location: Khambhaliya Bhatiya of Devbhumi Dwarka district
Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in Agriculture, Rural Development, Agribusiness Management, or Social Work
Experience: Minimum 2 to 4 years of field experience in FPO promotion, agriculture development, or livelihood projects
Position Overview : The Development Organiser (FPO Support) will be responsible for providing on-ground support to Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in building their institutional and business capacities. The role involves close coordination with farmers, CEO, Board of Directors (BoDs), and other stakeholders to strengthen governance, promote business linkages, and ensure smooth implementation of project activities within the assigned cluster.
Skills:
Strong understanding of FPO operations, value chains, and agribusiness.
Good communication and facilitation skills in local language and Hindi/English.
Proficiency in MS Office and field-level data management tools.
Ability to work independently and travel extensively in rural areas.
Strong team player with problem-solving and community mobilization skills.
Experience in working with farmer collectives, cooperatives, or producer groups preferred.
Support FPOs in strengthening governance systems, conducting regular BoD and General Body meetings, and maintaining statutory compliance.
Facilitate training sessions for BoDs and staff on record-keeping, financial management, and decision-making.
Ensure FPOs are compliant with legal requirements such as FSSAI, MSME, GST, PAN, etc.
Assist in developing business plans, feasibility assessments, and market strategies.
Facilitate aggregation, procurement, and marketing activities for the FPO’s produce.
Organize training and exposure programs for farmers on good agricultural practices, post-harvest management, and value addition.
Facilitate awareness and training on digital tools, record management, and traceability.
Maintain records of all field activities, member data, and transactions of the FPOs.
Prepare and submit periodic progress reports, case studies, and success stories.
Collect data for monitoring and evaluation of FPO performance indicators.
Work closely with government departments, financial institutions, NGOs, and private sector players to leverage support for FPOs.
Support the project team in organizing cluster-level review meetings and events.
