Keenan has an exciting career opportunity for a Proposal Development Project Specialist. The Proposal Development Project Specialist drives new business revenue and client retention through strategic consulting, creative project management, and effective communication for RFPs and presentations. Collaborates with Producers to develop sales tools and process improvements while ensuring timely, comprehensive materials for clients. Manages moderately complex projects, serving as the primary contact, organizing teams, assigning tasks, and delivering strong sales strategies. Key duties include researching prospects and industry trends, drafting persuasive proposals, assisting with RFP responses, and monitoring both marketing outcomes and industry news for opportunities.


How you'll make an impact
  • Provide strategic consulting, creative, and project management services for RFP responses, new business presentations, and complex client communication materials.
  • Partner with Producers for effective prospect and client-facing messaging.
  • Create new business development communications tools.
  • Aid in development of infrastructure and systems to improve operational efficiency.
  • Work with production teams to ensure materials are comprehensive and meet client deadlines.
  • Assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, and identify appropriate resources.
  • Provide strong project management and sales strategy support to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Research prospects, their industries, and industry trends to enhance proposals and support marketing initiatives.
  • Draft compelling sales documents based on research and Producer insight.
  • Assist with writing, editing, and coordinating RFP responses.
  • Monitor and report on results of new business and retained business efforts.
  • Monitor industry news for trends and opportunities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.


About You

Required: Bachelor's degree in marketing communications or similar field and 1 year related experience required. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Preferred:
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience preferred.
  • Adept at accessing business data from the Internet when required.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (especially InDesign and Acrobat) is preferred, and Responsive (formerly RFPIO) is desired.
  • Strong written communications skill essential.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to grasp new technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn specifics of each product line, so that the benefit of these products can adequately be communicated in proposals and other communications materials.
  • Must be able to work independently and perform multiple tasks.

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
