Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Developmental Editor to refine and elevate our manuscripts at the conceptual and structural level. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of narrative flow, coherence, and content development. This role is responsible for strengthening the manuscript’s logic, organization, and impact before it moves into the detailed editing stages.

Responsibilities:

Analyze manuscripts for overall structure, argument clarity, and logical progression.

Collaborate with authors to refine themes, tone, and content direction.

Recommend reorganizations or rewrites where needed.

Identify gaps, redundancies, or inconsistencies in content or messaging.

Ensure that manuscripts align with our publishing goals, readership, and brand standards.

Provide detailed editorial feedback and revision guidance.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in developmental or structural editing.

Excellent command of written English and narrative analysis.

Strong communication and diplomacy when offering feedback.

Familiarity with academic, religious, or non-fiction publishing preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word (Track Changes) and editorial collaboration tools.

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
