We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Developmental Interventionist (DI) to provide family-centered early intervention services across New Jersey. This is a flexible, per-diem/contract position with opportunities to build your caseload based on your availability.

Developmental Interventionist (DI) Responsibilities:

  • Conduct developmental assessments and participate in evaluations.

  • Collaborate with families and the early intervention team to develop Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) outcomes.

  • Provide developmental instruction and strategies in natural settings to help children meet IFSP goals.

  • Coach parents and caregivers to embed developmental activities into daily routines.

  • Maintain required documentation in compliance with NJ Early Intervention System (NJEIS) guidelines.

Developmental Interventionist (DI) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related health, human service, or education field.

  • One year of documented professional experience with individuals birth to five who have developmental delays or disabilities OR a minimum of 6 credits in infant or early childhood special education.

  • Knowledge of child development, family engagement, and evidence-based early intervention practices.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and coaching skills.
