All About the Job

Family Concierge is partnering with warm and intentional first-time parents in Macedon, NY to find a nurturing, confident, and developmentally aware Part-Time Infant Nanny for their baby boy. The family is hoping to build a long-term relationship with a caregiver who can grow alongside them as their son moves through each stage of infancy and toddlerhood.

This role is ideal for a professional nanny who truly enjoys infant care and values a thoughtful, engaged, and responsive approach to development. The family leans toward holistic parenting practices and is especially interested in meeting candidates who are comfortable supporting Montessori-inspired play, cloth diapering, elimination communication, and low-screen, highly interactive care. Previous experience with all of these areas is not required, but openness to learning and genuine alignment with the family’s values is essential.

Both parents work from home or on a hybrid schedule, so they are looking for someone who can confidently step into the day, take initiative, and create a calm, productive rhythm for their son while maintaining a collaborative and respectful dynamic with parents nearby. Their little one already enjoys being carried on walks, engaging with high-contrast materials, and exploring the world through coos, facial expressions, and play. As he grows, the family hopes to welcome a nanny who can become a trusted partner in supporting his development with creativity, attentiveness, and care.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide nurturing, attentive, and developmentally responsive care for the family’s infant son, fostering a warm and secure environment throughout the day
  • Prepare bottles and support paced bottle feeding, including washing bottles and pump parts as part of the daily rhythm
  • Collaborate with the family to prepare simple, age-appropriate solids as the child reaches new developmental milestones; including suggestions for baby-led weaning and recipes
  • Oversee mealtimes and handle all associated clean-up, ensuring eating surfaces, dishes, and surrounding areas remain tidy
  • Support the child in settling for crib naps while maintaining safe sleep practices
  • Confidently support the family’s use of cloth diapering and elimination communication, with flexibility for disposables during outings
  • Engage the child in purposeful, Montessori-inspired play that encourages exploration and growth
  • Design and lead thoughtful enrichment activities, including creative indoor play, nature walks, and seasonally appropriate crafts
  • Serve as a proactive resource by recommending toys, materials, and activities that align with the child’s evolving developmental needs
  • Maintain an organized and inviting play environment, including thoughtful toy rotations
  • Facilitate local outings to the library, neighborhood walks, and exploration of nearby parks and trails as age and weather allow
  • Manage the child’s laundry, including cloth diapers, and assist with seasonal wardrobe transitions as needed
  • Provide light household assistance related to the child’s care, such as managing the dishwasher and light vacuuming in shared child spaces as time allows
  • Ensure the nursery and basement play area remain clean, organized, and prepared for daily engagement

We Want to Meet You If You Have…

  • At least 2-3+ years of professional nanny experience, including substantial infant care experience in private homes
  • Confidence caring for a very young baby and supporting feeding, sleep, and developmental routines
  • Comfort working in a home with parents who are working remotely or on a hybrid schedule
  • Infant CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain/renew before start
  • A warm, patient, and observant caregiving style with a strong understanding of infant cues and regulation
  • A dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to your work
  • A genuine interest in child development and developmentally appropriate play
  • Experience with or openness to learning about Montessori-aligned care, cloth diapering, elimination communication, and baby-led weaning
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner respectfully with first-time parents
  • A clean driving record and reliable, insured transportation
  • Comfort working in a home with a cat and dog
