DevOps Engineer

## Key Responsibilities

### Cloud Operations & Automation

- Design, implement, and maintain automated cloud operations workflows across multiple cloud platforms

- Develop and optimize automation scripts to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency

- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance

- Implement automated deployment pipelines for rapid and reliable application delivery

### Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

- Design and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles and best practices

- Create reusable, modular, and version-controlled infrastructure templates

- Implement automated provisioning and configuration management solutions

- Ensure infrastructure consistency across development, staging, and production environments

### Configuration Management & Automation

- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration management and application deployment

- Automate server provisioning, configuration, and patching processes

- Create and maintain automation workflows for routine operational tasks

- Implement automated compliance and security configurations

### CI/CD Pipeline Management

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins

- Implement automated testing, security scanning, and deployment workflows

- Optimize build and deployment processes for efficiency and reliability

- Manage pipeline configurations and troubleshoot deployment issues

### Enterprise Application Setup

- Deploy and configure enterprise-grade applications in cloud environments

- Collaborate with development teams to containerize and modernize applications

- Implement high-availability architectures for critical business applications

- Manage application lifecycle from deployment to decommissioning

### Multi-Cloud Infrastructure Management

- Provision and manage infrastructure across AWS, Oracle Cloud, and Azure platforms

- Implement cloud-agnostic solutions where possible to ensure portability

- Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management

- Maintain expertise in multiple cloud platforms and their native services

### Scripting & Automation

- Write robust Bash scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational tasks

- Develop custom tools and utilities to improve team productivity

- Create documentation and runbooks for automated processes

- Implement error handling and logging in automation scripts

## Required Qualifications

### Technical Skills

- Strong experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Oracle Cloud, and/or Azure

- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)

- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation

- Expertise in CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins

- Advanced Bash scripting skills for automation and system administration

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git

- Understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles

### Professional Experience

- 1-2 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles

- Proven track record of implementing automation solutions in production environments

- Experience deploying and managing enterprise applications in cloud environments

- Demonstrated ability to work with multi-cloud architectures

## Preferred Qualifications

- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification)

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

- Knowledge of additional scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)

- Experience with GitOps practices and tools (ArgoCD, Flux)

- Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements

- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
