DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Expert System Solutions (ESS) is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, optimizing deployment pipelines, and ensuring seamless development-to-production workflows. You will work closely with our engineering teams to enhance automation, reliability, and performance across all environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments.
• Manage and scale cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS).
• Automate processes using scripting and IaC tools.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Oversee containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with development teams for release planning and execution.
• Ensure infrastructure security and best DevOps practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on DevOps experience in a production environment.
• Strong expertise with AWS and cloud architecture.
• Solid experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Proficiency in Docker & Kubernetes.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Experience with monitoring/logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Serverless (AWS Lambda).
• Scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
