DevOps Engineer

Waada Digital is looking for a proactive DevOps Engineer to manage, automate, and optimize our infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for VM deployments, Linux server management, secure release processes, and maintaining reliable infrastructure in both physical and cloud data centers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage virtual machines (VMs) across physical and cloud environments.
• Administer and maintain Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Perform regular security patching, system updates, and vulnerability remediation.
• Manage Git-based release deployments and support CI/CD workflows.
• Oversee infrastructure across physical and cloud data centers.
• Monitor system health, logs, and performance metrics; respond to incidents promptly.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure security best practices.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.

Preferred Skills / Competencies:

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux server administration.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Proxmox, or similar).
• Solid understanding of Git-based workflows and release management.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and/or GCP.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and system security.
