Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to oversee and manage the complete cloud operations of our application, built using a microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring. You will work closely with our development team to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our cloud-based system

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

● Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) tailored to a microservices architecture.

● Monitor cloud resource utilization and optimize cost efficiency.

● Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

CI/CD Pipelines:

● Set up, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process for

microservices.

● Automate build, test, and deployment workflows to ensure smooth application delivery.

Monitoring & Logging:

● Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or New Relic.

● Ensure real-time application performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident

resolution.

Security & Compliance:

● Enforce security best practices for cloud operations, including IAM roles, VPC

configurations, and network policies.

● Manage backups, disaster recovery plans, and ensure compliance with relevant security

standards (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA if applicable).

Collaboration & Support:

● Collaborate with development teams to streamline code deployments and provide

operational support.

● Address production issues promptly, providing root cause analysis and implementing

long-term fixes.

● Document processes, configurations, and best practices.

Automation & Scripting:

● Automate repetitive tasks related to deployment, scaling, and management of cloud

resources using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, managing cloud operations for microservices-based applications.

Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in AWS, GCP, or Azure (AWS preferred).

Containerization & Orchestration: Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s), including managing multi-cluster environments.

IaC Tools: Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.

CI/CD: Proficiency in tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.

Monitoring & Logging: Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent.

Scripting: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.

Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, etc.).

Version Control: Experience with Git and related workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

● Familiarity with microservices patterns and principles.

● Knowledge of service mesh tools like Istio or Linkerd.

● Experience with chaos engineering and resilience testing.

● Strong understanding of distributed systems and their operations.

● Familiarity with serverless computing and hybrid cloud models
