Your Role
As a
DevOps & Support Engineer
, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance, stability, and reliability of Trifork’s deployed solutions in Oman. You’ll ensure that our systems run smoothly — deploying updates, monitoring performance, troubleshooting incidents, and interacting directly with our customers to deliver outstanding service and uptime.
This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise with customer focus. You’ll be part of a collaborative delivery team dedicated to operational excellence, system resilience, and proactive problem-solving.
Your Responsibilities
System Maintenance & Monitoring

Ensure continuous uptime and performance of production systems.

Monitor health, resource usage, and performance metrics.

Respond promptly to alerts and incidents to minimize downtime.
Deployment & Updates
-
Plan, test, and deploy system updates, patches, and configurations.
-
Ensure smooth, low-disruption deployments.
Troubleshooting & Support
-
Diagnose and resolve system, hardware, and software issues.
-
Provide technical support to internal teams and customers, escalating when required.
Security & Compliance
-
Apply and monitor security best practices and vulnerability patches.

Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
Documentation
-
Maintain detailed configuration, update, and incident records.

Create and update operational runbooks and procedures.
Backup & Recovery
-
Perform and verify regular system backups.
-
Maintain and execute disaster recovery procedures.
Customer Interaction
-
Engage daily with customers at their premises.
-
Provide status updates and support SLA review meetings.
Key Results You’ll Drive

System uptime: Maintain 99.9%+ availability.

Performance: Optimize resource utilization and responsiveness.

Timely updates: Keep all systems patched and secure.

Incident response: Resolve priority incidents within defined SLAs.

Security: Pass all audits and maintain hardened environments.

Documentation: Keep 100% of system documentation up to date.
What You Bring
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
-
4+ years of relevant experience (10 years preferred).
-
Strong knowledge of Linux systems and containerized environments.
-
Experience with: ElasticSearch, Kafka, and preferably Spring Boot, Flink, MariaDB DevOps tools such as Ansible (preferred) Scripting (Python) or programming (Java, C, C++, MySQL)

Beneficial: familiarity with Networking and DPDK.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while staying team-oriented.
