THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented DevSecOps/System Admin. Engineer with a Secret clearance and Sec+ (8570 cert) to work from our Beautiful Colorado Springs, CO location.

This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates typically require 3+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

As a DevSecOps/Systems Admin. Engineer you will:
  • Perform Level two maintenance on mission critical systems.
  • Develop, test, and install mission critical patches for operational and test systems.
  • Monitor, plan, and implement system patching and operating system software upgrades.
  • Assist the Information Assurance (IA) team with account management and system vulnerability management, and implement fixes via group policy.
  • Deploy software/hardware deliveries, supports special projects, and offer an assistance to operational crews and contractor teams to resolve system issues.
  • Meticulously records problem statements and creates appropriate reports.
  • Assist the warfighter in maintaining essential National Defense systems the program from software development to end user.

Selected candidate must have a Final Secret security clearance for consideration.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience with complex system administration tasks
  • Experience with system virtualization
  • Basic Java scripting experience, and the ability to automate and fine tune systems
  • Linux or Red Hat administration experience
  • Experience with integration and system troubleshooting
  • Current DoD SECRET security clearance required.
  • DOD 8570 Compliance (security +, etc...)
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including overnights and weekends, and support a flexible schedule.
Desired Skills:
  • System provisioning software (Chef, ansible, puppet) experience including scripting for automation, configuration control or provisioning.
  • Current or previous assignment to a satellite communications program
  • Proficient in troubleshooting system level problems with networked data processing systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in working outside of the U.S. on classified military networks with export control restrictions. Ability to interface in a personable and professional manner under stressful conditions with military customers and contractor coworkers
  • Demonstrated ability in working with and resolving real-time problems on satellite ground station systems.
  • Knowledge of electronic theory, networking techniques, telecommunications systems, and system level troubleshooting methods.
  • Experience interpreting cable drawings
  • Experience in local and wide area network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with configuring satellite downlink antennas.
  • COMSEC/Crypto experience (KIV, KS-252, e.g.)
  • Experience operating or maintaining VoIP systems.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $97,100 - $171,235. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
