The Retail Manager is responsible for driving retail performance and brand excellence across Travel Retail doors in the Middle East, managing Beauty Advisors (BAs), achieving sell-out targets, and ensuring perfect in-store execution in line with Dolce & Gabbana Beauty guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Performance
- Own sell-out targets for assigned travel retail accounts (airports, border shops, inflight where relevant) and build monthly/quarterly action plans to achieve them.
- Analyze sales by door, category, SKU, and animation to identify opportunities and risks, proposing concrete actions to drive growth.
- Partner with the commercial team to forecast needs, and support optimal stock levels, assortment, and launch readiness at door level.
- Monitor KPIs such as productivity per BA, sales per door, average ticket, and conversion, and implement corrective actions where needed.
Team Management and BA Performance
- Lead, coach, and motivate a multicultural team of Beauty Advisors across multiple locations in the Middle East.
- Set individual and team targets, follow up regularly, and conduct performance reviews with clear development plans.
- Organize and deliver on-counter coaching and feedback sessions focused on selling ceremony, service excellence, and product expertise.
- Ensure BA grooming, behavior, and storytelling consistently reflect the brand image and luxury standards.
Training and Brand Excellence
- Coordinate with Training to plan and execute product, service, and sales technique trainings (in-person and digital) for all BAs.
- Guarantee that BAs can confidently communicate brand values, hero products, and new launches to diverse traveler profiles.
- Monitor and elevate the customer's experience, ensuring a seamless, luxury journey for passengers in a high-traffic, time-pressure environment.
In-Store Execution and Operations
- Ensure perfect implementation of visual merchandising guidelines, planograms, and animation podiums across all doors.
- Regularly audit counters for tester availability, hygiene, merchandising compliance, and stock levels, driving immediate corrective actions.
- Coordinate with logistics and retailers to prevent out-of-stocks and manage slow-movers, discontinuations, and returns according to company policy.
- Support and supervise launch and animation execution (set-up, staffing, event schedule, and post-event results).
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
- 3-5+ years of experience in retail management in beauty, luxury, or FMCG; travel retail or multi-country experience is a strong plus
- Proven track record of managing retail teams and delivering sales targets in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with sales reports and KPIs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Fluent in Arabic and English
- Willingness to travel frequently across the Middle East (airport and store visits, events)
