DGM – Finished Goods Procurement (Pump & Solar Pump Division)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced DGM (Finished Goods) Procurement professional to lead procurement operations for the Pump & Solar Pump Division. The role involves vendor development, procurement strategy, cost optimization, and ensuring seamless supply of finished pump products to support business growth and supply chain continuity.

Key Responsibilities1. Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors specifically for Pump & Solar Pump finished goods
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts to ensure cost competitiveness
  • Build and maintain long-term vendor partnerships for consistent supply

2. Procurement Operations

  • Plan and execute end-to-end procurement of finished pump products
  • Ensure timely delivery of finished goods to warehouses
  • Track and monitor vendor performance—quality, delivery timelines, and cost

3. Inventory & Demand Alignment

  • Work closely with demand planning & sales teams to align procurement with forecasts
  • Optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability while controlling working capital

4. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and statutory norms
  • Maintain accurate documentation—POs, contracts, supplier agreements, etc.

5. Cost Management & Optimization

  • Conduct market and commodity analysis to benchmark pricing trends
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality
  • Strong understanding of commodity purchase, import buying, and Pump/Solar Pump product categories

Qualifications & Skills

  • B.Tech/BE (Mechanical/Electrical preferred); MBA is an added advantage
  • 9–12 years of proven experience in FG Procurement—preferably in Pump / Solar Pump industry
  • Strong negotiation, vendor development, and relationship management skills
  • Proficient in procurement tools—SAP, Ariba, Web-based Portals
  • Strong analytical capability to interpret demand & supply patterns
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
