Diabetes Educator

Position: Diabetes Educator

Locations: Karachi & Multan

Responsibilities:

• Provide diabetes self-management education and support (DSMES) to patients and caregivers.
• Assess patients' educational needs and create personalised care plans.
• Conduct individual and group education sessions on diabetes management, nutrition, exercise, and medication adherence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and dietitians to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Monitor patients' progress and provide ongoing support and follow-up.
• Develop educational materials and participate in awareness campaigns.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and progress.
• Stay updated with the latest guidelines and practices in diabetes education and management.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Nutrition, Pharmacy, or a related healthcare field (Master’s preferred).
• Certification as a Diabetes Educator (preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in diabetes education or related clinical role.
• Strong understanding of diabetes pathiophysiology, treatment modalities, and lifestyle interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in local languages and basic computer skills.
• Willingness to travel between sites if required.
