Location: Irvington, New Jersey

Schedule: PRN (Per Diem)

Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Job Summary

Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with dialysis treatments, monitoring patient status, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and disinfect dialysis machines according to established protocols
• Assist with initiating and terminating dialysis treatments
• Monitor and accurately document patient vital signs and treatment data
• Assist with patient transfers and provide support during treatments
• Reinforce patient education as directed by the nursing team
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and quality standards
• Perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing and ensure accurate reporting
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Ensure informed consent is obtained prior to procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas and equipment
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed
• Complete additional duties as assigned
  
  
  

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED (required)

Experience: Minimum of 3 months of hands-on hemodialysis experience (required)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong observation and documentation abilities
  
  
  

Certifications:

• Current BLS certification (required)
• BONENT or NNCC certification (required)
