Dialysis Technician

India

The Dialysis Technician is responsible for operating dialysis machines, preparing and monitoring patients undergoing dialysis treatment, and ensuring the proper functioning and cleanliness of equipment. The technician works under the supervision of a nephrologist or registered nurse and follows all hospital and safety protocols to provide high-quality care to patients with kidney failure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dialysis equipment and ensure proper setup prior to treatment.
  • Monitor patients during dialysis sessions, recording vital signs and reporting any abnormalities to medical staff.
  • Assist with the insertion and removal of dialysis needles under supervision.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of dialysis machines and surrounding environment.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document all treatment-related data.
  • Monitor and manage supplies for dialysis procedures, reporting shortages to the supervisor.
  • Respond to emergency situations calmly and promptly, following hospital protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures and aftercare, as instructed by healthcare providers.
  • Comply with infection control, waste disposal, and equipment maintenance guidelines.
  • Participate in training and continuing education as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or Certification in Dialysis Technology from a recognized institute.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a hospital or dialysis center preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of dialysis equipment and procedures
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
  • Good communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work in a team and under pressure

Working Conditions:

  • Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Exposure to bodily fluids and chemicals

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
