Dialysis Technician Trainee

Job Summary: Highway Hospital, Thane, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dialysis Technician (Trainee) to join our team. The Dialysis Technician will be responsible for operating dialysis machines, monitoring patients undergoing dialysis, and ensuring the maintenance and sterility of dialysis equipment. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of dialysis procedures, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate dialysis machines and equipment in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, recording vital signs and addressing any issues that arise.
• Perform routine checks, cleaning, and maintenance of dialysis equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization procedures.
• Educate patients and their families on post-dialysis care and dietary recommendations.
• Collaborate with nurses, nephrologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and complications during dialysis.
• Maintain accurate documentation of dialysis treatments and patient records.
• Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated with advancements in dialysis technology and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Dialysis Technology or a related field.
• Some experience as a Dialysis Technician.
• Proficiency in operating dialysis equipment and understanding dialysis procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in monitoring patients and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
