Role Overview
We are currently looking for a skilled Die Repair Technician to join a manufacturing facility in Cottage Grove, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving issues with die cast dies that fail to meet design standards. You will handle minor adjustments and modifications to guarantee that all components align with print specifications. Additionally, you will be tasked with the disassembly, reassembly, and ongoing preventive maintenance of casting dies to ensure high-quality production and peak equipment performance.
Compensation and Schedule
This position offers a pay rate between $25 and $45 per hour and is available for 2nd or 3rd shift.
Required Qualifications

Minimum of one year of hands-on experience working with die, diecast, molding, or tooling equipment.
Key Duties

Utilize hydraulic power units, cavity extraction systems, and ejector pin grinders to assist in the verification and final inspection of hydraulic cylinder configurations.

Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by keeping your station clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.

Install and assemble die-casting dies to ensure they align with established quality and production standards.

Identify and troubleshoot performance problems within the dies to help reduce downtime and improve overall operational efficiency.

Execute necessary repairs and adjustments directly on the machine to restore functionality and support a smooth, continuous production flow.

Create maintenance requisitions for any die-related needs, such as servicing hydraulic cylinders, addressing electrical faults, or repairing maintenance equipment.

Analyze trim die and die-cast blueprints while using precision tools like calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers to confirm that parts meet required tolerances and specifications.
