Diesel Maintenance Mechanic

IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR EXPERIENCED DIESEL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and motivated Maintenance Mechanic/Technician to join our growing team in Lake Placid, Florida. This is a long-term, full-time position offering stable year-round work, consistent hours, competitive pay based on experience, and opportunities for growth within the company.

What You’ll Work On

• · Preventive maintenance and repairs on flatbed trailers
• · Diesel-powered forklifts
• · Maintenance and light repair work on semi trucks
• · Tire replacement
• · General shop maintenance and repair duties
• · Mostly shop-based work
• · Experience with welding, fabrication, trailer repair, or tire replacement is a plus

Responsibilities

• · Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on vehicles and equipment
• · Conduct basic diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify mechanical issues
• · Complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately
• · Maintain service records and update maintenance logs
• · Assist with inventory and organization of parts and supplies
• · Help keep the shop and work areas clean, safe, and organized
• · Follow all company safety procedures and protocols
• · Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines and operational needs
• · Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• · High school diploma or equivalent required
• · Previous mechanic experience required
• · Diesel experience preferred
• · Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• · Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• · Good communication and organizational skills
• · Ability to lift, move, and position heavy objects
• · Must be dependable and show up ready to work
• · Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred
