Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems on construction equipment such as excavators, cranes, loaders, pumps, and compressors.
- Diagnose hydraulic faults using pressure gauges, flow meters, and other testing tools to identify leaks, worn components, or performance issues.
- Repair or replace defective hydraulic pumps, cylinders, motors, valves, hoses, and fittings.
- Dismantle and reassemble hydraulic units, ensuring all components are cleaned, tested, and aligned as per manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Read and interpret hydraulic circuit diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
- Ensure all hydraulic repairs and services comply with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate service records, parts usage logs, and maintenance reports.
- Coordinate with the maintenance and operations teams to schedule repairs efficiently and reduce equipment downtime.
- Support in training operators and technicians on proper handling and care of hydraulic systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical / Hydraulic Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in hydraulic maintenance and repair (preferably in the construction or heavy equipment industry).
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Proficient in using hydraulic testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and mechanical schematics.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced site environment.
- Basic knowledge of welding, fabrication, and preventive maintenance practices is an added advantage.
