Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems used in construction machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, pumps, and heavy vehicles.
- Diagnose hydraulic system malfunctions using testing instruments such as flow meters, pressure gauges, and diagnostic software.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble hydraulic pumps, cylinders, motors, control valves, hoses, and fittings in accordance with manufacturer standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure reliable performance and reduce unexpected equipment failures.
- Maintain detailed service and maintenance records, including parts replaced, system performance data, and test results.
- Collaborate with workshop supervisors, mechanics, and operators to coordinate repairs and ensure minimal downtime of construction equipment.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards during maintenance and repair activities.
- Provide technical support and recommendations for system upgrades or modifications to improve equipment efficiency.
- Maintain workshop tools, testing instruments, and hydraulic maintenance equipment in proper working condition.
- Support the development of preventive maintenance programs and assist in training junior mechanics and operators in hydraulic system care and safe handling.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in hydraulic maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting (experience with construction or heavy equipment preferred).
- Strong understanding of hydraulic theory, system design, and repair techniques.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, test benches, and measuring instruments related to hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuit diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Strong focus on safety, reliability, and preventive maintenance practices.
- GCC or construction industry experience is preferred.
